Summary
Win is the No.1 New York Times bestselling thrilling story, which was written by Harlan Coben, this book tell about what happened when the secret of a dead man fell into the hands of the anti hero of the People’s League – leading him to a dangerous road.
More than 20 years ago, Patricia Lockwood, the heiress, was kidnapped while robbing her family property, and then locked in an isolated hut for several months. Patricia escaped, but so did her captors – the things stolen from her home were never found again.
Up to now. In the Upper West Side, a hermit was found murdered in his attic apartment, with two notable objects beside him: a stolen Vermeer painting and a suitcase with the initials WHL3.
For the first time in many years, the authorities found a clue – not only Patricia’s kidnapping, but also another FBI case – that both the suitcase and the painting pointed to a man.
Windsor Horne Lockwood III, also known as Win by his friends, did not know how his suitcase and the paintings stolen by his family ended up with a dead man. But his interest was aroused, especially when the FBI told him that the man who kidnapped his cousin had also planned a domestic terrorist act, and that the conspirators might still be at large.
These two cases have puzzled the FBI for decades, but Win has three things that the FBI does not have: personal contact with the case; Ungodly wealth; And his own unique brand of justice.
Win is one of the Best Harlan Coben Books.
